The Secret To Eating More Food - Without Gaining Weight!!!

December 2019 my 'maintenance' calories were 1800 per day. Fast forward to December 2020 and my 'maintenance' calories are 2500 calories per day. This means now I can eat 700 more calories per day without gaining weight than I could one year ago.


Your maintenance calories are simply the number of calories your body burns each day whilst at rest, before any physical movement. So, as muscle needs more calories than fat to survive, it burns up more calories.


How did I do this? I built muscle. Yes, despite gyms being closed for half the year, all the home and garden workouts with bands were worth it. The more muscle mass you have, the more calories you can eat!!


So, when you build lean muscle tissue, on top of losing fat, looking slimmer, fitting into smaller clothes, moving easier, having more energy and feeling STRONG, you get to eat more food!!!


Better than this, I now feel that my body is working WITH me rather than AGAINST me to burn fat. Before I felt like anything I eat will make me gain weight, now I feel the opposite, like it is hard to gain weight. That is such a great feeling!!!
